Help support the Dubuque Humane Society by bringing in your furry (or feathery!) family member for a portrait session! 

Between May 25th and 30th Seeley Photography will be scheduling pet portrait sessions to help benefit the Dubuque Humane Society.

Instead of charging a session fee, we will be providing a FREE pet portrait session for the donation of any item on the Dubuque Regional Humane Society's "Fetch List" found on their website. The total value of the donation must be a minimum of $20. http://dbqhumane.org/cms-view-page.php?page=fetch-list

You may bring the donated items to your session, or if you wish to drop them off at the Dubuque Humane Society yourself, bring the receipt from your donation to your session.

On June 8th-12th, all of the pets photographed will be entered in the Pet Contest on Facebook. The pet with the most "likes" on their image will win! So get your friends and family to vote for your furry friend!

Celebration of Smiles 2015!

DON’T MISS OUR SPECIAL CELEBRATION OF SMILES DAY!

On April 25th our studio will participate with an elite group of photographers around the country in a very special portrait promotion. 

On that day we will be providing a wonderful opportunity for you to update portraits of your family or children in exchange for a donation of $24 to Operation Smile.

In doing so, you will help to support Operation Smile, which provides free surgeries for children around the world who suffer with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.

Along with other members of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), we are offering the gift of a mini portrait session* and one 5x7 portrait in exchange for a $24 donation to PPA Charities, which has chosen Operation Smile as its charitable partner.

As an additional bonus, we will also be giving away a free gift certificate for a future portrait session for each donation!

For every 10 individuals we photograph, another child will receive the gift of surgery!

It costs as little as $240 for Operation Smile's medical volunteers to provide a life-saving surgery that can take as little as 45 minutes.

One hundred percent of each donation will go to Operation Smile.

We also believe that our Celebration of Smiles Day is a wonderful way to teach children the value of reaching out to others. Even small children can understand the importance of Operation Smile’s work, and they are eager to help these needy children.

We hope you will join with us in helping to make this vital work possible, and we promise to create a portrait that you will treasure.

*Good for any kind of portrait session except for newborn and pets. If you would like to have your pet photographed we will be doing free pet sessions in May!

Sessions will take place outdoors at the Mines of Spain picnic area. In case of rain, Sunday April 26th will be the backup date. 

Images will be viewed at your own private viewing appointment scheduled for the following week. You will pick out the image for your free 5x7 portrait and have the opportunity to purchase any additional portraits or products.

Back in May we had a very successful Pet Portraits Contest with so many wonderful pets! We now have a 2015 Calendar available for purchase featuring all of the pets we photographed. The top 12 pets in the contest are featured for each month.

Last Year Scott and I had the oportunity to photograph 31 amazing weddings and we'd like to say thank you to all of our wonderful couples!

On our Facebook Page I have uploaded one image from each wedding we photographed last year. Vote for your favorite newlywed by leaving a comment on their image. Only one comment per person will count!

Bridal Show in Tiffin, Iowa

Scott and I had a great time at the Preferred Bridal Show at Bella Sala! The show was organized by Wedding Planner and Decorator, Cynthia Betts. Check out her blog for some awesome tips and ideas while planning your wedding: http://weddingsiniowa.blogspot.com/.

At the show, brides were able to visit with vendors and sample some delicious food from 12:00-2:30 (our booth was right next to Chef Mickey's Catering who had some really excellent food to sample). At 2:30 the Bridal Fashion Show started and we all got to take in some really beautiful gowns by XOXO Hugs and Kisses Bridal Boutique. The whole show had a really intimate feel and it was so nice to be able to chat with all the brides who stopped by our booth.

During the show we held a drawing at our booth for a FREE Portrait Session and 8x10 Print. I'd like to thank all of the brides that stopped by our booth to chat and fill out our survey for the free session. We have picked a winner and it is....Katie Hoppe who is getting married in Amana, IA! Congratulations Katie!!

Grand River Center "Reception Tasting and Seminar" this Saturday!

I will be attending the Grand River Center "Reception Tasting and Seminar" this Saturday at 1:00-3:00pm. This is for all 2011 and early 2012 Brides and Grooms who are having their reception at the Grand River Center (you'll need to RSVP). If you are planning on attending be sure to stop by and say hi!!

New Studio!!!!!

We are so excited to be moving into a new Studio Space in downtown Dubuque! The Studio will be a couple doors down from the Hotel Julien entrance and across from the new restaurant Crust on Main Street. We will also be expanding our services into Newborn, Children and Family Photography! The new space should be ready by June 2011 and we will be having a Grand Opening Party. I'll post more details when it gets closer!
